Looking for a potential candidate to oversee and run our hog farm in St. Francis, Kansas at Callicrate Cattle Co.
The position will consist of:
- Managing the sow herd from breeding, feeding, and farrowing
- Working with a nutritionist to maintain and follow the companies feed program
- Oversee the production of market hogs from feeding, watering, environmental controls, and management of the animal welfare program
- In addition to overseeing our swine herd the candidate will assist with the HACCP program and slaughtering in the USDA inspected slaughtering facility
Requirements: 3 years plus experience in the swine industry. HACCP certified a plus but not required. If no experience with working with a slaughtering facility, training will be given. Bi-lingual a plus.
