Ranch Foods Direct donates an outdoor produce cooler, located on the east end of the parking lot, for use by Marcy Nameth and her sons (pictured), who deliver a weekly CSA to customers in Colorado Springs, and Megan Andreozzi, manager of Hunt or Gather at Ivywild and coordinator of the Arkansas Valley Organic Growers buying club. It’s one of the many ways the company supports the revival of a local food economy. But more space is needed for collection, prep and storage. The proposed community-supported public market offers a potential solution.
