Callicrate Beef General Cooking Instructions
Our meats are so naturally tender and delicious that we believe the best way to cook them is with as few extra ingredients as possible. The simplest method is to put the meats in a pan, broiler or on the grill and then add a little bit of sea salt and fresh ground pepper while they're cooking. If you do decide to marinate your Ranch Foods Direct meats, we recommend using a little bit of crushed garlic, pepper and/or your favorite grilling or barbecue sauce.
Here are a few added suggestions for particular cuts of meat:
Most cuts: For maximum tenderness, broil, fry or grill until medium rare to medium well done. No matter how tender the cut of meat, if you cook it until it's well done it won’t be as juicy.
Roasts: First, make about six small cuts in the roast and stuff them with whole cloves of garlic. Then season it with sea salt and pepper, pan sear it in canola or olive oil (to lock the flavor in!) and put it in the slow cooker with a little bit of water in the bottom and let it cook all day. When you get home from work the meat will fall apart and melt in your mouth.
Hamburgers: If you buy our patties frozen, don't defrost them. Just throw them right on the grill or in a pan at about 325 degrees and flip them when the juices begin to show on top. If you buy our fresh ground beef, don't pat the patties down too much. Add sea salt and pepper while they;re cooking and enjoy.
Ribs: Cook the ribs in the oven (seasoning optional) at 325 degrees until the meat begins to come away from the bone (a couple of hours). Then cover the ribs with your favorite sauce and put them on the grill on low heat just long enough to smoke them (about 10 to 15 minutes).
